| People protests against shortage of water | | |

MENDHAR, Oct 1: The villagers from Lower Ari in Harni area of Mendhar Sub Division held protest demonstration against the PHE authorities and the local administration for water crisis in the area for the last few weeks.
The villagers from Mohallah Jattan and Mohallah Brahmana and adjoining areas including women and children came out on the road and disrupted movement of traffic during two hour protest. They alleged that even the children of nearby Govt High School are facing severe water crisis. The water pipes are leaking and nobody repairs them despite repeated requests to the concerned PHE field staff.
SDM Mendhar Dr Tanveer Ahmed Khan came to know about the matter and he sent AEE PHE Sub Division Mendhar Munir Ahmed on the spot who pacified the people. |
