Udhampur, Oct 1: The condition of Manwal - Satrari to Majalta road is very dilapidated.
This 2 kilometer road is a vital link between many villages like Satrari, Kathail. The condition of the road subjects the people of these villages to inconvenience.
The road has many pits and during rainy days it becomes slippery thus exposing people to risk. The passenger transport refuses to ply on the road leaving no option for the people to walk the distance.
The road gives tough moments to school going children.
Sunita Devi local resident of Kathail said that her daughter's education is getting affected due to this. Some other locals informed that they many times brought the matter into the notice of concerned authorities like PWD but nothing has been done so far. They also said that all the roads in the vicinity are black topped but 2km part of this road is ignored. |
