| IRS officer held for allegedly duping locals | | |

Jammu, Oct 1: Nagrota police has arrested an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 1989 batch who allegedly looted three persons of Nagrota and Sidhra area on the pretext of investment in real estate in Delhi.
Police sources said that a complaint in this regard was lodged by three complainants at Nagrota police station and acting on the complaint an FIR has been registered in this regard.
Police sources said that the complainant in their complaint alleged that 1989 batch IRS namely Jawed Akther of Lakshmi Nagar New Delhi duped them and taken lakhs of rupees on the pretext of investment in real estate in Delhi.
Police managed arrest of the alleged accused and started questioning. |
