Man allegedly kills wife, arrested | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 1: Police arrested a man who allegedly murdered his wife in the house of his sister-in-law at Majalta area on Monday over a petty issue. Police sources said that as per initial reports, one Yash Paul of Jamaal Challa Tehsil Ramnagar District Kathua who along with his wife namely Ritu Devi was in the house of his sister-in-law at Village Neeli Tehsil Majalta since yesterday, had some verbal duel with his wife on some issue following which he hit her hard with a sharp edged weapon (Kulhari) and killed her on the spot. "After killing his wife, the said accused person managed to escape from the spot", said police sources adding that later the accused was arrested by police party of Majalta led by SI Narinder Singh SHO Majalta under the supervision of DySP Jagdev Singh Slathia-SDPO Ramnagar from nearby area. Police sources further said that questioning of the accused and his sister-in-law is on to ascertain the motive behind the killing. In this regard, a case under FIR no. 81/18 under section 302 of RPC has been registered in Police Station Majalta and further investigation of the case is going on. |
