Jammu, Oct 5: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has appealed Governor NN Vohra to reduce the Legislative Assembly term as well as withdraw the perks and other benefits to former chief ministers of the state.
According to press release, Thakur Randhir Singh appealed to the Governor who has got a socialist background to utilize similar legislature powers for withdrawing perks of Ex chief ministers Dr Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Gulam Nabi Azad and Mehbooba mufti this law was passed during Dr Farooq Abdullah time in 2002 in the Legislature Assembly that whosoever after losing the job of chief minister in Jammu and Kashmir. |
