Police-Mining employees-goons fleece locals | Fee charged for transporting construction material | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 5: Despite a ban imposed by the High Court, some goons in connivance with police and Geology and Mining employees are reportedly charging fees from locals for transporting crushed construction material. The unholy nexus between police officials, employees of Geology and Mining Department and some miscreants has been exposed after some civilians were found collecting money from locals at Sidhra area under receipt of the department and the receipt they were providing locals belong to Samba district. "Some miscreants hand in gloves with police and employees of Geology and Mining Department are collecting money from locals for moving crushed construction material", said sources adding that the court has imposed ban on the mining in the Sidhra area and department can never charge for crushed construction material. Sources further claimed that the miscreants are giving cash receipts of the department which were issued for Samba district. The whole nexus is being operating under the nose of police and Mining Department and the trio share the bounty, said sources. They said the nexus is so deep rooted that an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) who tried to resist the acts of the unholy nexus was attached in another Sub-Division of a rural area. |
