Samba, Oct 5 : In its continuous drive to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, District Police Samba under the directions of Dr. Koshal Sharma-SSP Samba arrested a drug peddler under the jurisdiction of Samba police station and recovered 100 Nos. of intoxicant capsules from his possession.
Police spokesman said that a police party of police station Samba headed by Inspector Chanchal Singh-SHO Samba and under the direct supervision of Deepak Digra-DySP Hqrs Samba, during surprise Naka at Budwani Talab Samba, intercepted one person on suspicious grounds.
"During frisking, 100 Nos. of Capsules (Parvon Spas Plus) were recovered from his possession", said spokesman adding that the accused person was identified as Preet Kumar of Budwani, Samba.
The accused was arrested on the spot and the contraband items were also seized.
In this regard, a case under FIR No. 262/2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Samba police station and further investigation to ascertain sources and destination of the consignment is on. |
