Jammu, Oct 5: In its continuous drive to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, District Police Jammu. under the directions of SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta, today evening arrested one notorious drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Gangyal police station and recovered 500 Nos. of intoxicant capsules.
Police spokesman said that a Police Party of Gangyal police station headed by Sub Inspector Nayat Ali -SHO Gangyal under the supervision of Sunniya Ashkoor wani, DySP SDPO City South Jammu and over all supervision of SP South Vinay Kumar, during surprise naka at Model Town Gangyal intercepted one person in suspicious moment, was going towards Model Town, during frisking, 500 Nos. of Capsules (SPASMO- proxyvon) were recovered from his possession. The accused person was identified as Manveer Singh of Raina Colony Bablyaana. The accused was arrested on the spot and the contraband items were also seized. In this regard, a case under FIR No. 83/2018 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has registered at Gangyal police station.
More over a case of NDPS ACT had already been registered at Gandhi Nagar poli e station against him. |
