Nagrota, Oct 5: Major Angad Singh Behl, Adm Officer, Sainik school Nagrota inaugurated the block level tournament of" sports for peace and development" under centrally sponsored scheme "Khelo India"of zone Dansal for girls section in kabaddi, Kho-Kho, and volleyball under all age groups today at Sainik school Nagrota .The tournament is being organised by the department of youth services and sports under the overall supervision of sh Tarsem Singh ZPEO Dansal .
About 160 Girls participants from government and private institution of zone Dansal are participating in tournament. However, few of them are participating for the first time, who belongs to remote and far flung areas of Dansal zone.
The prominent among the others present on the occasion are omeshwar Sanyal, Taqdir Singh, Romesh padha, Subash Chander, Sanjit Sharma, Dheeraj Paul, Karnail Singh, Kulbhushan Sharma, Rajiv Kotwal and Saroj Bala.
In kabaddi U/19 yrs girls ,HSS Nagrota outplayed Hss Jandrah by 26-05 points, while Hss Nagrota trounced Heema public school jagti by 10- 06 points.
In Kho-Kho U/19yrs girls, HSS Jandrah beat Hss Dansal by 07-03 points. |
