| Drug peddler arrested with 5.5 grams heroin | | |

Samba, Oct 12: In continuation to ongoing drive against drug peddlers in Samba District by SSP Samba-Dr Koshal Sharma, Bari Brahmana police today claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 5.5 grams of heroin from his possession.
Police spokesman said that a Police Party of Bari Brahmana police station headed by Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal-SHO Bari Brahmana and under the direct supervision of DySP Sunil Kesar-SDPO Bari Brahmana, while patrolling at Sarore Adda, Bari Brahmana intercepted one person on suspicious ground.
"During frisking, 5.5 grams of heroin (Chitta) was recovered from his possession and the accused person has been identified as Mustaq Hussain alias Tariq of Sarore Adda, Bari Brahmana", said police spokesman. The said drug peddler was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard a case under FIR No. 188/2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS ACT has been registered at Bari Brahmana police station and further investigation has been started. |
