NCSC for 2018-19 held at KV Sunjuwan | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 12: 26th-27th NCSC for the year 2018-19 was held at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Sunjuwan with great enthusiasm. The chief guest S Sambanna, Deputy Commissioner inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp. Various participants from 38 schools of Jammu region were very enthusiastic to get their presentations and projects noticed. Cultural presentation by the students of KV Sujuwan left the audience mesmerized. The main attraction of the show was the indigenous telescope made by the students of Jammu Cluster Kendriya Vidyalayas under the expertise of Dr Ajay Sharma PGT Physics KV Sunjuwan. Budding scientists of various schools were in high spirits when they were being evaluated by the veteran scientists of IIIM Jammu headed by Dr D M Mondhe, on the five sub-themes namely Ecosystem, Healthy Hygiene and Sanitation, Waste to Wealth, Social Culture and Livelihood and Traditional Knowledge System. Music being soul of every function, the orchestra on the lyrics 'Vaishnav Jana' stole the show, thereby offering a befitting tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary. Under the banner of Green India, Clean India, vermi composting and compost pits were initiated by the regional co-coordinator of NCSC, DP Patel, Assistant Commissioner Jammu Region and Academic Coordinator, Manish Tuli, the Principal of the host school. In the valedictory function winners were awarded prizes and certificates by the chief guest. |
