| GPS Nallaha Thumba has one teacher for 36 students | | Ailing Education System | | Early Times Report
Sunderbani, Oct 25: The Government Primary School Nallaha Thumba in Tehsil Sunderbani of District Rajouri has one teacher for thirty six students.
The shortage of teachers has adversely affected academics in the school but nothing seems moving.
The people of Nallaha Thumba alleged that several representations were submitted to the concerned Zonal Education Officer Lower Hathal Ramesh Chander Sharma and the Chief Education Officer Rajouri requesting them to appoint more teachers in the school but no remedial action was taken till date.
The local residents including Tirath Rama Sharma, Chunni Lal, Pawan Kumar, Rita Devi, Ravi Sharma warned the education department that if teachers were not appointed in next two days then they will be forced to shift their children to other private schools and this school will be locked permanently.
When contacted Chief Education Officer Rajouri, said that he will look into the matter seriously and appropriate measures will be taken for the welfare of the students. |
