| MRV campaign held at SIP School | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 1: The Measles Rubella Vaccine Campaign (MRVC) was launched in Stephens International Public School on 1st November 2018. It was completed in 2 phases. The programme was launched by the Govt. of India to vaccinate all the children in the age group of 3 to 15 years for the prevention of the two dreadful diseases - Measles and Rubella. As Measles is a major childhood killer disease and Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS) is also responsible for the irreversible birth defect. It demonstrates India's commitment to improving the health and well-being of the people by protecting children against vaccine- preventable disease. Teams of three doctors, including two medical staff members and two Asha workers, were involved in this fruitful campaign. The medical team came from R.S. Pura Hospital. The medical staff was involved whole-heartedly in the painstaking work and they put in sincere efforts to make the campaign successful. |
