| Khelo India handball championship concludes | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 1: J&K State Khelo India Handball Championship in under 17 boys 2018-19 concluded at MA stadium.
The championship is being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Handball Association, in Collaboration with J&K State Sports Council.
Sunaina Sharma Secretary Jammu Municipal Corporation was the chief Guest on the valedictory function, who gave away the winners and runners-up trophies as also other individual prizes, while Nariender Mahajan Vice President Handball Federation of India was the guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunaina Sharma said Khelo India scheme has been launched with an objective to involve youth in sports activities to channelize their energy in right direction and imbibe leadership qualities, team spirit and discipline among them.
She appreciated the enthusiasm amongst the players depicting sports personality.
Earlier General Secretary of the J&K Handball Association, Ashwani Kumar Raina welcomed the distinguished guests and presented a brief note on the championship and highlighted the activities of the Handball Association and extended thanks to J&K State Sports Council Officers, Coaches and Officials of the association and media for support.
Among others who were present on the occasion Dr. S.M Bali C.E.O Handball Federation of India, Ranjeet Chib (Selector Handball Federation of India & Former Indian Captain), Sandeep Verma P.R.O Handball Federation of India, Sanjeev Jamwal Executive Member J&K Handball Association. Ravi Singh Divisional Sports Officer J&K State Sports Council, Ashraf Parray Joint Secretary J&K Handball Asssociation, Nissar Ahamed Joint Secretary (Kashmir Division) J&K Handball Association, Ravi Singh General Secretary Udhampur Handball Association and Saurav Sharma Secretary Poonch Handball Association. |
