PIL regarding failure of State to protect Mansar-Surinsar lakes | DB takes serious view of non-cooperation of officials | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 1: In the PIL highlighting apathetic attitude of state towards Mansar-Surinsar Lakes which have huge ecological, economic and mythological importance, a Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sindhu Sharma took serious note of lack of cooperation shown by the official respondents with their counsel till date and directed to file response/reply. Division Bench observed that in case, appropriate response/reply is not submitted by the next date of hearing, a serious view will be taken. Division Bench directed Secretary Tourism, J&K to file a detailed affidavit in the present PIL within a period of three weeks. It may be noted that there has not been enough cooperation shown by the officers with the counsel for the official respondents till date. |
