| Four gamblers held with Rs 13000 stake money | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 22: In an endeavour to curb the menace of gambling in the society, police post Residency Road arrested four gamblers from Eid gah road who were pivotal in spreading the menace of gambling in the area.
Police spokesman said that a police team headed by SI Ashwani Kumar-Incharge police post Residency Road raided a place and arrested four persons namely Ashok Kumar of Pacca Danga, Omar of Shaheedi Chowk, Abdullah Ahagtahtary of Baramulla and Sunny of Nanak Nagar Jammu. Further, stake money of Rs 13000 and playing cards were also recovered from their possession.
All the five gamblers were booked U/S 13 Gambling Act. The raid was carried out under the guidance of Inspector Vishal Sharma-SHO City. |
