Ram Madhav likely to be stripped of J&K charge | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 22: Failure of BJP to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir following dissolution of assembly is likely to cost the party national general secretary Ram Madhav of the state's charge. Reliable sources in the BJP circles say the party high command has already made up its mind to remove Madhav as incharge J&K in view of his blunders committed in the last three years. However, the sources added, the latest development in which arch rival PDP and National Conference came closer for forming a government and failure of Madhav to get a prior information about such attempts have forced the party high command to seriously mull removal of its pointman on J&K. While elaborating, sources said that the BJP high command was already mulling removal of Madhav as incharge J&K for the last several months following some complaints against his style of working and more particularly pick and choose attitude. Party's annoyance was evident in the last reshuffle affected in the government when the high command, in consultation with RSS, removed some BJP ministers, who were allegedly close to Madhav. Again, sources added, advice of Madhav was also not sought before taking a final decision on pulling out of the coalition government and again it was RSS, which had strongly recommended for severing ties with the PDP. In nutshell, Madhav was already in the line of fire for several months, but the party was delaying his removal with a hope that his personal ties with some PDP leaders would help the BJP to manage magic number to form a government. However, the dissolution of assembly has not only dashed all hopes of BJP but also angered the party against Madhav for his failure in getting prior information about NC, PDP bonhomie, sources said. |
