ABVP criticizes NTA for not allowing computer based test faculties to NET aspirants | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 22: ABVP criticized National Testing Agency (NTA) for not providing computer-based test facilities to the NET aspirants within Jammu and Kashmi. Addressing media persons, ABVP President Jammu University Ravail Parihar, said that National Testing Agency (NTA) had released admit cards for National Eligibility Test (NET) aspirants but the examination centre are provided out of state which creates many problems for the students. Students are suffering and cannot afford because it is very expensive for poor students and female students are suffering due to transportation, their families are not allowing them to appear in the examination due to security reason. Earlier this was never happened until the UGC and CBSE has conducted the examination. First time is happening that the NET centers has put outside the state. He appealed the Director-general of NTA Vineet Joshi to draw his kind attention regarding the issue as soon as possible because most of the students from Jammu and Kashmir severely suffering and couldn't able to reach on the examination centers on time due to hilly area and in the state of J & K also not the facility of night transportation due to its harsh and mountainous geographical area. He also further said that the honorable Governor of the State Satya Pal Malik should also throw a light on the concerned issue and put an appeal to the Director-General of the National Testing Agency. He should also say that in future such types of problems shall never be faced by the students, the NTA should developed their basic facilities to the aspirants so that they may not suffer and appeared in the examination within their own state. The Vice-President of ABVP University of Jammu, Komal Parihar also appealed to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jammu Prof. Manoj Dhar to draw his kind attention regarding the concerned issues and appeal to the higher authorities to sought out the aspirant's problem as soon as possible. And the NTA proved failed to provide Computer Based Test facilities with the state so that the centers are provided outside the state. |
