| AVM Jammu hails dissolution of Assembly | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 22: Aarakshan Virodhi Manch Jammu in its meeting held at Domana (Jammu) under the chairmanship of Ram Paul Seth it's President highly appreciated the role of the Governor of Jammu Kashmir state in dissolving the Legislative assembly. He lambasted Indian National Congress, National conference and P D P for making grand alliance and supporting Kashmir centric politics. It clearly shows their ignorance towards Jammu and Ladakh region. It is very surprising that for the sake of power these political parties compromised with each other. They never bothered to think about the sentiments of the people of the Jammu and Ladakh region. They must not always take these innocent people for granted.
Madan Lal Narad General Secretary of the Aarakshan Virodhi Manch Jammu while speaking on the occasion said that the discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh region will never end until unless delimitation of Assembly constituencies is carried out. He also said that Jammu region deserves more seats but Kashmir centric politics is not interested in doing so. He appealed the Governor of Jammu Kashmir state for immediate appointment of delimitation commission so that the demarcation of seats is properly done and implemented before next election. He also appealed for rotation of reserved constituencies of Jammu region those have been reserved since 1996. Out of 37 seats for Jammu province 7 seats are reserved for SC. The percentage is not understood. It has debarred the people of general category to contest election from the constituency where they reside. |
