PDP holds protest against Bajrang Dal | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Dec 15: Peoples Democratic Party today held a protest at Kishtwar against Hindu right wing Bajrang Dal converted attack on party MLC outside Jammu Press Club. As per the details available with Early Times large number of PDP workers along with large number of people assambled at Bus Stand Kishtwar and raised slogans against Bajrang Dal activist and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits involved in attacking the MLC Firdous Tak. The angry party workers lead by Senior Party leader Ishtaq Waza also burn the effigy of Bajrang Dal and called upon the authorities to reign in forces like Bajrang Dal who are hell bent to destabilise the peace and tranquility in Jammu region. It is pertinent to mention Security guards Friday saved People's Democratic Party leader Firdous Tak, Sheikh Nasir, Wasil Doolwal from the wrath of RSS and Bajrang Dal activist after they tried to manhandle them near Press Club Jammu. Tak was heading towards Press Club Jammu for holding a press conference on delay in police investigation into the killings of Parihar brothers when according to reports right wing Bajrang Dal activists tried to heckle him. Security personnel escorting him, however, saved him from them who continuously raised slogans against him. Agitating Bajrang Dal activists alleged that Firdous Tak made some anti-Jammu remarks, a charge vehemently refuted by PDP leader. People's Democratic Party Demand strict action against culprits added that if they failed, they will announce strike calendar against Bajrang Dal across the State. |
