After losing power Mehbooba projects PM Modi as 'villain' | | | Early Times Report jammu, Dec 15: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the President of the Peoples Democratic Party Mehbooba Mufti has trained all her guns towards her former ally Bharatiya Janata Party and has termed her party's decision about joining hands with BJP as a "suicide." "After the 2014 elections, we joined hands with the BJP. It was suicide, but we put everything on the line because we hoped that PM Modi will pick up where Vajpayee ji left. Unfortunately, Modi ji could not rise to the occasion," she has said. An analyst while reacting to Mehbooba's statement said that when PDP shared power with the BJP it had no complaints and the PDP President and then Chief Minister left no opportunity to praise the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP ministers in the Centre. "After losing power she is trying to create a notion that J&K is in mess due to wrong policies of the BJP. If she sits back and introspects she will come to know that she cannot runaway as she and her party are equally responsible for Jammu and Kashmir being in mess today," the analyst added. He said that Mehbooba Mufti, who also held the Home portfolio, went out of way to appease the separatists and the Pak stooges active in the Valley. "She announced amnesty for more than 10000 stone-pelters, compelled Centre to announce unilateral ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir which allowed militant groups to regroup and intensify their activities in the state. The biggest causality of the unilateral ceasefire was the Editor-in-Chief of Rising Kashmir Shujaat Bukhari who was killed in a broad day light by the Lashkar militants outside his office in Srinagar," the analyst added. A politician alleged that anti-Jammu agenda of PDP created a wedge between Jammu and Kashmir regions and led to the polarization of the environment in the state. "When PDP was sharing power with the BJP it treated BJP ministers as its second fiddles and did not allow them to do anything. Even the developmental projects in Jammu were hit by the PDP's biased approach towards the region," the politician added. He said that PDP has realized that it's falling like pack of cards and one by one people are deserting it. "PDP has understood that it's reemergence on the political arena of the state is impossible. Now it's looking to enter into an alliance with its bête-noire National Conference. PDP is trying it's best to rebuild its distorted image but cannot hoodwink the people anymore," the politician said. |
