Pakistan, Hurriyat are stakeholders in J&K, Jammu and Ladakh are not
Wah Re Mehbooba!

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 22: Fearing extinction and humiliating defeat in the next elections, Mehbooba Mufti has unleashed a no-holds-barred campaign calculated to winning over Pakistan and Pakistani stooges in Kashmir like Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik and restoring the space she has lost to others in Kashmir, including the National Conference. She, like Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Saif-Ud-Din Soz and GA Mir, to mention only a few, has been taking recourse to politics of communalism and secessionism in a most brazen manner. Not just this, she, like Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Saif-ud-din Soz and GA Mir, has been giving those who matter in New Delhi to understand that what she has been saying represents the general will.
The other day, she again crossed the red line and said in Delhi that Pakistan and Hurriyatwalas in Kashmir" were the real "stakeholders in the state" and PM Narendra Modi must follow in the footsteps of late AB Vajpayee and start talks with Islamabad and Hurriyawalas to end the crisis in Kashmir. She not even once talked about Jammu and Ladakh, which constitute almost 90 per cent of the state's land area and house more than 50 per cent of the state's population, which contribute over 80 per cent revenue to the state exchequer. She only talked Kashmir, Kashmir and Kashmir and by her other statements proved that she was no more than a spokesperson of Islamabad and Hurriyat.
Mehbooba has no support-base in Jammu and Ladakh and her support-base in Kashmir too has shrunk with many top party leaders joining the NC or the Sajad Lone's Peoples Conference.
Had she been a Pakistani national and told Pakistan that India and the people of this and other side of J&K were the stakeholders and Islamabad must start talks with New Delhi to resolve the issues, she would have been booked then and there and put behind bars. Islamabad would have considered her stand as an act of edition and acted accordingly.
It's a different matter that New Delhi didn't against her or against Farooq Abdullah, who has been touring different parts of the country to preach fake secularism and make outrageous statements. It's because of the New Delhi's weak-kneed policies that Mehbooba Mufti and others of her ilk have been indulging in politics of competitive communalism and secessionism, thus hurting India and causing immense damage to national interest in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
New Delhi would do well to refashion their whole approach to these half-separatists or salf-rulewalas and autonomywalas and start talks with the people of Jammu and Ladakh, who have been fighting for the national cause in the state since 1947 and suffering huge losses in the process.
