Jourian, Dec 25: Former Minister and Congress leader Sham Lal Sharma today said that schools should focus on moral values rather than mere education to the students. The Former minister was speaking in the 27th Annual day function of Tiny Aspirants Public Hr. Sec. School, Jourian. Sham, who was the chief guest on the occasion, asked the school management to always take the initiative for proper education and guidance for children as they are the future leader of the country. Sham said, "The role of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge, and knowledge makes us great", he added. He hoped that Tiny Aspirants will play an important role in enhancing and sustaining the quality of education as their endeavor can bring fresh innovation in the system and can go a long way in providing the young generation a platform, expressing their talents, wisdom and vision. Sham Lal called for attitudinal change in people's mindset to protect the rights of women folk in the society so that they could contribute in the socio-economic development of the country without any fear and stress. He also lauded the role of women in the socio-economic development of the country since the independence of India. Sharma further stressed for the moral education to both the boys and girls. He also said that there is only a way to uplift the society that is education. |
