DB directs to map new site PIL regarding International Cricket Stadium 12/28/2018 8:41:55 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 28: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by Advocate Deewakar Sharma seeking direction to JKCA to immediately start the construction of International Stadium at Bajalta Jammu soon after the release of already sanctioned amount of Rs.100.00 Crores, a Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Tashi Rabstan observed that vide letter No.DCJ/SQ/Land-Cricket-Stadium/2018-19/6680-81 dated 12.12.2018, Tehsildar Jammu was directed to identify alternative land measuring about 520 kanals and the Revenue Documents in triplicate be prepared and the said land should be free from all encumbrances being acquired for public purpose and the Revenue papers be prepared as per the possession on spot. That in compliance to letter No:DCJ/SQ/Land-Cricket-Stadium/2018-19/6880-81 dated 12.12.2018 Tehsildar Jammu has submitted his report on 17.12.2018 in which he has submitted that the land measuring 600 kanals falling under Khasra No.540-mini and 541-min situated at village Bain Bajal, Tehsil & District Jammu has been identified. DB directed official respondents to confirm the extent of the land which is in their possession. Steps shall be taken to protect the land in question and official respondents shall ensure that the site map as well as Google map showing the location of the land now proposed as well as land which was earlier proposed is handed over to Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi within two days from today. DB further directed that official respondents shall also confirm that this land is not within the flood plain of river Tawi and shall have the spot inspection by an engineer not below the rank of Executive Engineer of the Flood Control Division, Jammu and place the report before us by the next date of hearing.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
