Denizens seeks continuance of president’s rule in state | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, Dec 28: The ongoing President Rule has many takers in the town here where majority of the opinion is in favour of its continuance. "We have now no domination by Kashmiri politicians and there is equality in every field," Sohan Kumar-a PG Economics student at University of Jammu said. An elder Bishan Dass felt that pending projects should now be completed and even remote and virgin lands should also see developments. "Justice to the losses of crops due to climatic factors should now be looked into as earlier hefty crop damage compensation was delivered on discriminatory manner on basis of regional character," Puran Kumar-a progressive farmer said. "If all are happy and there are more protests during popular government then authorities should continue with the President Rule in J&K," Jatinder Kumar said. Some retired defence personnel without telling their names said that welfare measures for the martyr families should now be started and from now onwards discrimination with army people should be stopped. |
