Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 28: The 166th Birth Anniversary of Sri Sarada Devi, the Holy Mother was celebrated today with great fervour and serenity by the Ramakrishna Mission of Jammu at the Mission premises at Udheywala, Jammu. The full day celebration started at early morning with Mangalarati and culminated after evening arati and Bhajan. Havan, Bhajan, Bhog were in the part of celebration. A large number of devotees, local people gathered for the celebration. The full day celebration was started at early morning 5:30 am with Mangalarati followed by vedic chanting and bhajans on Mother. A special Pooja and Havan was performed. Then bhajans, reading from "Sri Sarada Devi and Her Divine Play", Homa, Bhoga and Bhoga Arati followed. The devotees were enlightened with the life of Sri Sarada Maa by Swami Nirantarananda ji Maharaj. Finally all the devotees offered pushpanjali. All the participants enjoyed prasad (lunch) at Sarada Hall. In the evening the programme started with Arati, followed by a talk on Holy Mother then all sang bhajans on Mother. In his address to the devotees on the occasion, Swami Nirantarananda, Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission's Jammu ashrama, hailed Sarada Devi as a symbol of purity, divinity, simplicity and holiness, and explained the manner she is revered among the Ramakrishna order as 'Sangha Janani'.
