JAMMU, Jan 5: A woman 23 years old, admitted at Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital, fell into a coma during childbirth and woke up after 48 hours. As per sources, a woman Pinky Devi resident of Suhanjna Jammu admitted at Gyane ward for delivering on January 2 but she got siezure repeatedly and fell into a coma during childbirth. Pinky regained consciousness she did not even remember being pregnant and other details of the labour when she woke up. The 23-year-old fell into a coma and suffered siezures but managed to give birth. She delivered a baby in an unconscious condition and later she shifted to ICU and put her on ventilator and continue efforts of the Gynecology team as well as doctors of the Anesthesia department she was given a trial of extubation, once she fulfilled the criteria of extubation, she was smoothly taken out of ventilator and her vitals are stable. The efforts were done under the guidance of HOD Gynecology Dr Indu Koul, HOD Anesthesia Dr Smriti Gulati, Dr Akhil, and other doctors team. |
