ABVP committed to students on Ranbir School issue: Baru | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 5: Students of Ranbir Higher Secondary School and ABVP activists held a press conference here today at Vidyarthi Bhawan, Parade Ground. Akshit Baru, a student of 12th class of Ranbir School and secretary of ABVP Parade Zone addressed the press conference. Addressing the media, Akshit Baru said that recently the ABVP had submitted a memorandum to Commissioner Secretary School Education in which they had put forward two main demands. First demand was to create an independent inquiry committee which don't include an official from Education Department as the students believe that the official other then principal are also involved in this issue. Another demand which they had put forward to Commissioner Secretary is to suspend the Principal of Ranbir School and attach her to other department till the result of the inquiry comes. In another statement Baru said that they had also filed an RTI in CEO office which contains 10 points for seeking information. The main point on which they had demand the information is the process of auction of iron bars, details of the contractor who is constructing the wall, details of the fine collected from the students, details of the funds given by Governor and details of the Library security funds of past 3 years. He further said that a room was developed for the counselling cell which was developed by the CDF of MP Jugal Kishore but in the recent time that room has been used for some other purposes and that is also a matter of concern. He also requested the MP to please look after this issue.
