Bovine smuggling bid foiled in Ramban, 13 animals rescued | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Jan 5: In continuation to its special drive against the menace of bovine smuggling launched on the directions of SSP Ramban-Anita Sharma, today abovine smuggling bid was foiled and 13 bovines were recued from the clutches of bovine smuggler. Police spokesman said that today a police party led by SHO Ramban-Inspector Vijay Kotwal under supervision of DySP HQ Ramban Asgar Malik under close supervision of Additional SP-Sanjay Parihar established a surprise naka near Shan Palace, Ramban. "During checking, a Vehicle bearing registration number JK02AH-5977 got intercepted and on search the said vehicle found loaded with bovine animals", said spokesman adding that total 13 bovine animals have been rescued and also siezed the truck. Spokesman further added that a suspected bovine smuggler namely Yaqoob Hussain of Digwar, Havali Distt Poonch has been taken into custody. He said that on questioning, the suspected person revealed that he was trying to smuggle the bovine animals towards Kashmir without seeking permission from the concerned authorities. In this regard a case under FIR No. 02/19 under section 188 of RPC, 3 PC Act got registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation taken up. |
