JAMMU, Jan 5: Surinder Singh (Kala) has been elected as president and Raj Kumar (Raju Baba) as vice president of Vegetable & Fruit Association New Sabzi Mandi Narwal, Jammu in an election held here today. The election was held under the supervision of election incharge, Baldev. Out of the total 148 votes polled, Surinder Singh (Kala) bagged 112 votes whereas his opponent Ashwani Sharma could secure only 36 votes.
Raj Kumar polled 101 votes whereas his rival Rinku Kohli was able to secure only 47 votes.
Jag Mohan Puri as general secretary, Rahil Gupta as secretary and Abhinandan Gupta as cashier were elected unopposed. After the announcement of the result, the newly elected team thanked all the members of the association. |
