JKTF seeks implementation of 7th pay commission | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 6: An extra ordinary meeting of the Central Body of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) under the presidium of Ganesh Khajuria State General Secretary was held at Gandhi Nagar Jammu. According to press release, a marathon session regarding the pending salaries as per 7th pay commission of the Head Teachers, Masters and ReTs promoted as Masters was conducted which is viewed very seriously by the central leadership. While presenting his views Ganesh Khajuria was astonished towards the attitude of the Governor's administration that had promised on 28th August 2018 by the Governor through his Advisor Khurshid Ahmad Ganai at Srinagar that all the Teachers irrespective of their cadres will get the salary as per 7th pay commission w.e.f September 2018 but it seems that the Governor's administration has befooled the teaching community once again like the successive governments in past. Khajuria said that it is unfortunate that despite assurances from the Governor's administration and in the SAC decision the order has not turned into reality even after the lapse of more than 5 months. He said that number of times the memorandum pertaining to the demands of 7th pay commission of teaching community after the hunger strike concluded has been submitted to the concerned authorities but despite false assurances nothing concrete steps have been taken so far for the implementation of 7th pay commission in favour of striking employees of education department. Khajuria appealed to the Governor to release the salaries of the aggrieved employees of the Education Department as per the 7th pay commission according to his commitment. |
