MNC appeals PM, Union FM to consider recommendations of Ashok Lavasa Committee

Jammu, Jan 6: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri appealed to the Prime Minister and the Union Finance Minister's to immediately consider the recommendations of Ashok Lavasa committee set up by the Central Govt. to look in to the anomalies of lower class employees both working in the central/state governments, So that confusion and uncertainty among the employees could come to an end.
"Necessary report containing recommendations proving relief against anomalies stand already submitted for acceptance year back."Shastri said this while addressing meeting of NMC workers.
"lavasa committee in its recommendation enhance the salary of lower class from Rs.18,000 to Rs. 21,000,despite laps of over one year ago ,the matter is still pending for acceptance causing lot of discontent amongst the salaried class. The issue needs to be considered when the union cabinet meets next, so that lower class staff would heave sigh of relief from rising prices and inflation, he added.
Pleading the cause of state Govt. employees and pensioners, he, however expressed deep concern over the non enhancement of medical allowance has irked the salaried and pensioners categories.
He demanded that the enhancement on the analogy of the Central Govt., the medical allowance at the rate of Rs, 1,000 should immediately consider and sanctioned in favor of pensioners
He while focusing on the plight of several thousand daily rated workers, who are passing through a difficult phase because neither they are being paid regular wages, nor are being regularized to get their monthly wages under a wage head. Under SRO 520 ,. But a very conversion process has to be under gone by the said category of Staff who are manning the quantum of essential services delivery , therefore they should be given some liberties in the process of their documents as most of them are not qualified as expected by the higher up of governor administration ,so that they do not suffers more, he added.
Release of 4% DA due from January 1 2019 in favor of Central and State Government employees pensioners in view of rising prices of essential commodities, total exemption of DA from Income Tax, enhancing the wages of the daily rated workers to rupees 500 per day, declaring Jammu and Srinagar Cities as A1, issuance of regularization of orders of daily rated workers working in rural development department Jammu region, setting up of labor welfare board and releasing of all pending wages of daily rated workers working in irrigation and flood control department, PWD, PDD, PHE and others besides setting up of wage head in each department of the State Government for regularly disbursement of their monthly salary were other demands highlighted in the meeting.
Among others who were also present on the occasion included Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S. Jamwal, Darshan Bawa, Madan Lal, Suraj Parkash, Ram Singh, Surinder Kumar, Bhupinder Singh, Ramesh Sharma, Darshan Lal and others.
