Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Jan 14: A militant, affiliated with terror group Hizb-ul Mujahideen, was arrested during naka checking in North Kashmir's Bandipora village, the police said on Monday (January 14). According to police, a joint naka was laid by the Bandipora Police, along with the Army's 13 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) at Ajas village of the district on a tip-off about the movement of some militants in the valley. "During the naka checking, one militant has been apprehended along with arms and ammunition," a police officer said. The militant has been identified as Sarfaraz Ahmed Sheer, son of Muhammad Yousuf, a resident of Quil Muqam village in Bandipora district. The police also said that Sheer had been active since October 2014. |
