Govt wakes up, withdraws Dr Parray's re-appointment order
2/1/2019 10:56:56 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 1: Finally waking up from deep slumber, the state government today withdrew re-appointment order of Dr M I Parray as director Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneur-ship Development Institute (JKEDI).
According Government order number 25-IND of 2019, dated 01/02/2019, re-appointment order of Dr Parray as director, JKEDI has been withdrew.
"Government order No. 91-IND 2018 dated 20/03/2018 whereby Dr M I Parray was reappointed as Director JKEDI, being violative of JKEDI's organizational structure, strategic plan, service and recruitment rules, 2013, suffers from the legal ab-intio, and is hence, withdrawn. This order shall be effective immediately i.e. 01/02/ 2019", the order read.
Astonishingly, despite admitting the order re-appointment was in violation, not action has been initiated yet against the master of the omission. It is pertinent to mention here that the Early Times has been aggressively highlighted prolong stay of Dr Parray on same post beyond 15 years, and his reappointment for another five years.
He was appointed as Director JKEDI, on Decem-ber 9, 2003 on deputation from IMPA Srinagar, but 2005 he managed his permanent absorption as Director JKEDI. "It happened, when Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, was Chief Minister", sources in JKEDI, annoyed over 'unjustifiable' extension had been given to Parray, said. He continued as director for 15 years, and retired February, 2018, but since that time Mehbooba Mufti, as Chief Minister showering her blessing, on blue eyed officer re-appointed his for another five years.
