Police furnishes details about security cover of separatists, MHA to take decision | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Jan 16: Day after Early Times reported how separatists were enjoying the government's security cover, the Police on Saturday got the details of the same and will submit the report to Ministry of Home Affairs for withdrawal of their security. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said they will review the security of separatists. The police on Saturday got details about security of three separatists, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Abdul Gani Bhat, and Bilal Lone. The Early Times on Saturday reported how separatists were enjoying security cover on public expense. "We have got details about three separatists, who live in Srinagar. We will also get details about security cover to other separatists in coming days before submitting the report to Ministry of Home Affairs. We will suggest that security should be withdrawn," a police official said. "They enjoy security cover of police and CRPF and shamefully indulge in anti-national activities," the official said. While entire nation is pained over the death of CRPF personnel, the separatists are silent over this dastardly incident thus exposing their double standards. It is these separatists, who have been taking services of security forces for last so many years. The government last year released figures, which revealed that protecting separatists has cost over Rs 15 crore in last 10 years. The cost includes that of guard, escort and Personal Security Officers (PSOs) provided to the separatist leaders. |
