Govt teacher turns spokesman of terrorists | Enjoys DSEK's patronage, delivers sermons on so called Kashmir cause on TV debates | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 16: Even as the entire nation is in a state of mourning, the government in Jammu and Kashmir has allegedly given a "free hand" to some of the government servants to speak in "favor" of terror activities on the national media. Since the deadly attack on CRPF in Pulwama that left over 40 jawans dead and scores wounded, a government school teacher from Kashmir has been coming on national media to defend the terrorists and the separatist sentiment. Sources said the said teacher who is well connected in the political circles has been lecturing on "Kashmir cause" on the TV debates that are being watched by the entire world. Sources said the teacher who is actually a resident of Srinagar has been given "oral permission" by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir to attend such functions where the "Kashmir cause" is to be defended. Sources said despite the police and other forces taking serious note of such violation of service conduct rules, the government has been silent on the issue. One official in the Directorate of School Education Kashmir said the complaint on the issue had already come to their notice but that no action was taken. "The problem is that there are some influential persons in the education department who enjoy such liberties. Some of them work in government media and others come on national media," the official said on the condition of anonymity. Sources said a delegation of teachers had already informed the concerned authorities about the matter but that no action was taken. When contacted a senior official said the matter would be looked into. "We will have to look into the matter to see if he has been given a permission. The matter will be looked into," the official said. |
