Jammu, Feb 25: Delhi Public School Udhampur paid heartfelt tribute to the CRPF martyrs of Pulwama attack with a candle march in the school , amid slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" at the campus . The candle march was led by SSP Udhamnpur Rajiv Pandey (IPS), along with the Pro Vice Chairman of the school Dr. J.C Gupta and other members of the Managing Committee. The students, teachers and non-teaching staffs of the school thronged to the venue and observed two minutes silence for peace to the departed souls. Names of the martyred soldiers were called one by one accompanying patriotic slogans. The entire campus was emotion packed and some of the students burst into tears. The SSP Udhampur Rajiv Pandey in his address to the students stated that "Valor is stability, not of legs and arms, but of courage and the soul". May god bless the departed souls. In his speech, Pro Vice Chairman observed that the entire school is at pains and stunned because of ghastly attack on CRPF soldiers at Pulwama. "We strongly condemn this act of cowardice, offer our heartfelt tribute to the martyred soldiers and pray for speedy recovery of injured soldiers", said Dr. J. C Gupta in his emotional address. |
