Jammu, Feb 25: Jammu and Kashmir crushed Pondicherry in the 41st Sub Junior National Volleyball (Boys and Girls) Championship being organised by Odisha Volleyball Association under the aegis of Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) at Volleyball Stadium, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar on Monday.
Placed in group-D, Jammu and Kashmir boys earlier defeated Jharkhand in the opening matches. J&K boys will now meet Madhya Pradesh and Chandigarh, in the next league matches.
In second league match, Tamil Nadu beat J&K by 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-21) sets while coming back, J&K outplayed Pondicherry by 3-1 (25-15, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21) sets. In last match of the day three, Uttarakhand beat J&K by straight 3-0 (25-21, 28-26, 25-17) sets. Rahul Sharma, Vipan Kumar, Aditya Munda and Ravinder Singh of J&K displayed brilliant spikes and blocks. The boy team is accompanied by Naresh Sharma as Coach. |
