Fraudsters denied bail | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 25: Sub-Judge Jammu Pawan Kumar Sharma today rejected the bail applications of Sajeer Nizam and Amardeep Singh who duped people in the name of getting permission to open professional college.. According to the Crime Branch case, a written complaint was lodged by one Tanveer Ahmed Wani S/o Shamas-Ud-Din R/o Banihal in which it is alleged that he wanted to start educational institution where he came in contact with Sageer Nizam who claimed to be an employee of BOPEE posted at Jammu and assured the complainant to get him permission for opening Polytechnic College. Thereafter, he asked for Rs. 6.50 lakh which was deposited in the Bank account of accused. Thereafter, another amount of Rs. 10.00 lakh was given in cash to the accused and total of rupees 40.00 lakh have been given by the complainant to the accused for permission to open Polytechnic College. Sub-Judge Jammu Pawan Kumar Sharma after hearing Senior PO Puja Nijhon for the state observed that SrPO for the state has argued that three more accused are yet to be arrested and huge amount is involved in the case and only a part of money has been recovered. A closer look on the investigation report reveals that a prima facie case is established against both the accused. Even otherwise, three other accused are yet to be arrested. Hence, no case for bail at this stage is made by the accused, the court ruled. |
