| Kendriya Vigyan Kendra telecast PM-KISAN scheme | | |  Early Times Report
REASI, Feb 25 : Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of Jammu (SKUAST-J) organized live telecasting of PM- Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme here at KVK, Reasi campus. More than 85 farmers including the Sarpanches and Panches of the area enthusiastically attended and viewed the live telecast. PM-KISAN Scheme has been launched nationwide by the PM of India, Narendra Modi. The programme was organized under the guidance and supervision of Associate Director Extension and Incharge KVKs of SKUAST-J, Dr RK Arora. Before the initiation of the programme, the Scientist and Head of KVK, Reasi formally welcomed the participants and briefed the objectives of the programme. He informed the participants that Rs 6000 will be paid to the 12 crore small and marginal farmers having cultivable land upto two hectares per year in three installments. He added that PM-KISAN is a revolutionary scheme which can transform the lives of small and marginal farmers. The programme was graced by the Sarpanches and Panches of the area. KVK also displayed different types of technologies and extension literature in the exhibition stall arranged at KVK. They also visited the demonstrated crop cafeteria and fields of KVK, Reasi and were highly impressed by observing the technologies demonstrated by KVK, Reasi. |
