Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 25: Pradesh Youth Congress on Monday lambasted the previous BJP Government for its failure to provide legitimate rights to the employees' fraternity of J&K. Led by Uday Bhanu Chib, President J&K PYC, the Youth Congress workers met the protesting NHM employees at Exhibition Ground, here and extended full support to them. NHM employees were protesting for the last so many months demanding regularization of jobs, maximum increment to all NHM employees, particularly for paramedics and management staff and implementation of the policy of 'Equal Pay for Equal Work' and also implementation of 7th Pay Commission for NHM employees as has already been done in case of other Centrally Sponsored Schemes like SSA. Those who were present included Pankaj Basotra, Ajaz Choudhary (VP's JKPYC), Chetan Wanchu, Nimrandeep Singh, Mudassir Choudhary and Ranjeet Chopra (General Secretaries JKPYC),Vishal Chopra and Sandeep Sharma (State media incharge and spokespersons), Daivnder Resiyal (Secretary JKPYC) and Jagdeep Chahel (VP District Samba). Expressing serious concern over the neglect of NHM employees, Chib asserted that it is most painful to see the so called priorities sectors like health is getting harassed by the ruling class. "We strongly condemn the anti-people attitude of previous BJP Government for not settling the demands of NRHM employees despite giving them repeated assurances," said Chib. |
