Jammu, Feb 27: J&K Grameen Bank completed the project of conducting 174 Digital Financial Literacy Awareness programmes for FY 2018-19. Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department of J&K Grameen Bank under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural and in collaboration with NABARD completed the project of conducting 174 Digital Financial Literacy Awareness programmes for FY 2018-19. On Wednesday, the Bank organized five Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes among unbanked villages of Branch Offices Lalapora, Yunisoo, Warpora, Panzinara & Nowgam Sonawari under District- Kupwara, Baramulla & Bandipora. Simultaneously, nineteen village level programmes were also held at different villages by that many branch offices under district Bandipora, Baramulla, Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri & Poonch. Riyaz Ahmed Lone, Branch Head (Yunisoo) J&K Grameen Bank, welcomed the gathering and talked in brief about various social security schemes like APY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, etc. and the positive change these have brought in our day to day lives. So he stressed upon availing these schemes by those who have yet not enrolled under these schemes. He said that the bank will make all possible efforts to ensure that each and every family of the state is covered under financial inclusion initiative, thereby, leading them to the path of development and prosperity. He highlighted the benefits of digital banking and cash less economy. |
