| Special Athletes got gold, silver medals | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 27: Special Athletes of Special Olympics Bharat J&K bring laurels to the state by clinching gold and silver medals in snow shoeing race category at Championship Winter Games held at Narkanda, Himachal Pradesh.
According to press release, special Athlete Paramjeet got gold in 25 mtr snow shoeing race and Special Athlete Rakesh Kumar got silver medal in 50 mtr snow shoeing race.
Special Athletes from different states of India participated in this national event. The sole motive of this sports event was to involve Special Athletes and empower their self confidence and sportsmanship as well as their hidden talent through the medium of sports.
A team of 6 male athletes namely Jasdeep Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Ravinder Kumar, Paramjeet, Rahul and Manpreet accompanied by head Coach Sahil Badyal and Vikram Pratap attended this camp. All the Special Athletes from the state got exposure, their parents and caretakers were enthusiastic for more such future events to uplift these children morale.
