UDHAMPUR, Mar 12: Tariq M Mughal, a young lawyer from small town of Chenani in district Udhampur, was one amongst several scholars and researchers, who made their presence felt in National Seminar on 'Cyber Crimes: Issues and Challenges' organized by the Faculty of Law, Jamia Milia Islamia National University at New Delhi. Tariq M Mughal, an Advocate of J&K High Court, marked his presence as the only invitee from Jammu and Kashmir on the invitation of Jamia Milia. He delivered lecture and presentation on the 'Issue and Challenges of Cyber Crimes'. Advocate Tariq informed that throughout the day-long seminar, varied parallel running sessions were held in which academicians, researchers, lawyers and students of law and others discussed the nuances of crimes committed in the cyber space. The seminar was organized with the objective of critically analyzing and discussing the newly emergent threats in the cyber space and finding holistic measures to curb the menace. The chief guest for the inaugural session was noted Supreme Court lawyer, Pavan Duggal while Prof (Dr) Tabrez Ahmad, Director, School of Law, UPES, Dehradun and Prof Afshar Alam, Head, School of Computer Science, Jamia Hamdard were prominent among those who attended the event. |
