Finding no takers, former mantri spends time to confuse people! | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 12: A former minister who was cut to size by a regional party till he finally resigned hasn't been able to find any takers in political parties. While he seems to be spending time online, his social media posts are being seen as confusing by people. On March 10, when the Election Commission of India announced dates for Parliament elections across the country, the former minister went on the Twitter to give a notion that New Delhi has added two more Parliament seats to Jammu and Kashmir through delimitation by virtue of a presidential order. "Has there been a delimitation of parliamentary constituencies through a Presidential Order?! Election Commission has announced election schedule for 8 seats… The last time I checked J&K had only 6 seats!," the former minister wrote. Many of those online initially mistook it as breaking news, till they ultimately ended up realizing that it was more like some fake news. Sources said the politician was hoping to get public attention from his tweet but that his attempt failed to please the prospective audience. The said politician is yet to find any takers in any of the prominent political parties at the regional and the national levels. The former minister was sacked from the government following reported allegations of corruption against him. He had subsequently resigned from the party as well. Sources said for the past around two months he has been in touch with another politician, who was thrown out of the same party. Sources said the two former ministers have been brought closer by a group of Kashmiri businessmen, who want the two to be united. Sources said the two have been working on a joint strategy to get back power in the next Assembly elections. Despite repeated attempts the said politician couldn't be contacted for comments. |
