Early Times Report

BARAMULLA, Mar 26: After PDP, NC senior leader and Gen Secretary, Ali Mohammad Sagar on Tuesday said that his party was the original "Mujahideen party" of Kashmir, while former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah said that it is Sikhs who saved Kashmiris outside from mob violence.
National Conference vice president and former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said that it was the Sikh community that saved Kashmiri students from mob violence in Jammu and outside recently. Omar Abdullah while targeting Modi Govt said that Sikhs across India came forward when everywhere Kashmiri students were assaulted post Pulwama attack. Omar Abdullah said that it was responsibility of Modi govt to provide protection to the students who were attacked by rightwing extremists in Jammu and other states of India, but unfortunately Modi govt didn't exist anywhere
Omar Abdullah also lashed out at Mehbooba Mufti and said that she was trying to fool people who had had to face bullets and pellets during her tenure. Omar was addressing large gathering of people at Flood Colony Baramulla. Meanwhile after People's Democratic Party Chief Mehbooba Mufti, National Conference senior leader Ali Mohammad Sagar on Tuesday said that his party was the original "Mujahideen party" of Kashmir. He was addressing a public gathering in Baramulla, Ali Mohammad Sagar said that party contribution towards Kashmir valley was known to all and "our candidates will lead on every seat in upcoming Lok Sabha elections." Party President Omar Abdullah, besides senior leaders of National Conference was present on the occasion. Pertinently on March 17, PDP chief and former J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti extolled her party workers as "Real Mujahideen." She was addressing a large gathering in Kupwara, where Mehbooba said even though a PDP worker "may not have a gun or stone in his hands, they are the Real Mujahid."
