| SPMR College organizes Farewell/Fresher's party | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 5: An impressive function was held in Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu to celebrate Fresher cum Farewell along with Rank Ceremony Function in which Col. Sukhbir Singh Assla, Commanding officer 2nd J&K Boys BN NCC was the Chief Guest and Prof (Dr.) Anil Gupta, Principal, SPMR College of Commerce was the Guest of Honour. The Function started with the Guard of Honour by the cadets. Prof. (Lt.) Savita Jamwal, Associated NCC Officer gave the welcome note and the bouquet was presented by the principal to the chief guest. The Cultural bonanza was organized by the cadets. Speaking on the occasion Col. Sukhbir Singh said that the function was a good indicative which has set the new patterns for others to follow. He further said that the aim of NCC Cadets should not only be to obtain B or C certificate but to excel in every sphere of life in order to become the responsible citizens of the country. Addressing the cadets, Prof. (Dr). Anil Gupta said that NCC has a great role to play in all walks of life and to tackle all internal problems. He further stressed that NCC cadets are a reserve during external threats/ war. The principal also wished a bright and vibrant future, good health and also suggested them to keep up the lesson of honesty and dedication as NCC gives not only the physical development but also the intellectual expansion. He also congratulated the cadets for presentation of scintillating cultural programme. |
