'Pak stooges caught in their own web' | Hurriyat dove gets 3rd NIA notice, faces arrest, if he refuses to cooperate | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 5: Hurriyat dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has received third notice from the National Investigating Agency. He has been asked to appear at the NIA headquarters in New Delhi on April 8 in connection with the terror funding case. Prior to this, the NIA had sent two notices to Mirwaiz asking him to appear before the agency for questioning but he didn't go citing security reasons. An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "If Mirwaiz refuses to go this time he could be arrested and taken to New Delhi for questioning." He said that NIA has got enough evidence against the Hurriyat dove and "if he doesn't cooperate he would end up in a jail," he added. A Kashmir watcher said that this is for the first time in the past 30-years that noose has been tightened around the Pakistan stooges active in the Valley. "These people have filled their coffers by preaching sedition and separation and during all these years they have remained close to the people, who have been in power in Pakistan," he added. "The Government of India on many occasions offered them to come forward for talks and tried to persuade them to give up confrontation but their bosses sitting across the Line of Control never gave them permission for it," the Kashmir watcher said. He said, "Time has come for these separatists to give the account of the huge wealth they have amassed during all these years. Everyone is aware about the fact that these people have no known sources of income. So how come they have built palatial houses and are living like monarchs." A politician said that the investigations being carried out by the NIA after 2016 have revealed how much money separatists have got through Hawala channels to fuel unrest and fund the terror groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir. "These people have turned Kashmir into a graveyard by selling dreams and illusions to people. The Hurriyat dove has to face the NIA questioning and tell the investigators how he played into the hands of the enemies of the country and helped the anti-national elements," he added. Another analyst said that the action against these separatists was overdue as they had started believing that the Kashmir is their fiefdom and the people sitting in the national capital would always keep on appeasing them. "Now the law has taken its own course and it's a welcome step, which could go a long way in restoring normalcy in J&K once for all," he added. |
