Cong is binding force among 3 regions of state: Dr Karan Singh | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 5: Former union minister and senior Congress leader Dr Karan Singh along with former minister and President District Congress Committee (DCC) Kathua, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today conducted series of public meetings at Dayalachak, Ramkote and Billawar areas in favour of Congress candidate for 5-Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency Vikramaditya Singh. While addressing the gatherings, Dr Karan Singh said that Congress is the only party which has vision for all the three regions of the state and is the binding force between the three regions of the state. Dr Karan Singh said that Congress has always played its part in developmental sector not only in state but in the country also and those terming Congress as anti-national should go through the history of Congress and sacrifices made by its leadership for the country before commenting. While seeking votes for Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh, Dr Singh said that Congress is the party which gives guarantee to peace, development communal harmony and brotherhood where all the sections of society lives together. He further said that if voted to power Congress will empower youth and women in the state so as to take J&K on the path of growth and development. Singh said that he has long association with the people of Billawar and adjoining areas as he started his political career from Billawar area and thanked people of the area for showering their love and support to him and his family. Also speaking on the occasion former minister & president DCC Kathua Dr Manohar Lal Sharma said that present BJP has became party of individuals and it is seeking votes in the name of individuals not the party and said when votes are sought in the names of individuals then it is dictatorship and fight is between dictatorship and the democracy. |
