Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 10: The probe into the killing of top RSS leader cum senior pharmacist of Health Department, Chanderkant Sharma and his PSO Rajinder Kumar is likely to hit a stumbling block as no CCTV cameras were installed inside or outside the Out Patient Department of the Hospital where militants carried out the terror strike on Tuesday.
The sources told the "Early Times" that no CCTV cameras were installed inside the OPD or the area where the killing of RSS leader was executed. The cameras, they said are in the range of emergency ward of the hospital as well as in the complex holding the office premises of Medical Superintendent of the Hospital.
The sources said that the militants after executing the target managed to flee from the rear wall on backside of the hospital having small entry for people via Om Mehta Road as the normal route for Kishtwar Hospital via front gate is at least at a distance of two kilometers.
The sources told the "Early Times" that the militants involved in the killing managed to flee from the spot in an unknown vehicle and use the route that has no CCTV cameras installed anywhere.
The sources said that the preliminary leads suggested that similar modus operandi like in case of Parihar brothers killings has been used in killing of RSS leader where the militants used Whatsapp calls to inform about the movement of the deceased leader.
The sources said that the militants who arrived in Kishtwar Hospital with the help of local OGW network stayed inside the hospital premises for long time till they got the nod from the OGW about the departure of the deceased RSS leader from the building. And as and when they got the signal that Sharma was about to leave, they took the position and when Sharma came out of the OPD, they opened fire on him as well as on his PSO killing both.
Meanwhile Kishtwar Police has rounded up few surrendered militants for questioning.
